Improve the Functionality of Radiators
A gold radiator valve not only regulates the flow of water and heat into your radiator but also contributes to optimising your heating system's performance. Our selection is designed to provide precise control over the temperature in each room, allowing you to customise your heating settings according to your preferences and comfort levels. By adjusting the flow of hot water or steam into the radiator, these valves ensure that your home stays cosy and warm, while also helping to reduce energy consumption and heating costs.
Leaving no room for awkward corners and recesses, the straight or corner angled radiator valves keep the pipes connected compactly. It serves as the interface between the radiator and the pipework of the heating system, facilitating the transfer of heat from the system to the radiator and ultimately into the room. The radiator valve typically consists of two main components- the valve body and the valve head. The valve body is attached to the radiator's inlet and outlet pipes, while the valve head contains the mechanism for regulating the flow of heating fluid, with functionality that is offered by the round and cross designs. This valve head contains a control mechanism such as a manual knob or thermostatic elements that allow users to adjust the flow of water, enabling consistency in temperature balance.
Types of Radiator Valves
Straight, corner, and angled radiator valves are essential components in heating systems and are installed based on the layout and configuration of the radiator and pipework.
Straight Valves: The most common type is the straight radiator valve which is installed when the pipework comes up directly from the floor or down in a vertical orientation. It is installed on the radiator’s inlet and outlet pipes, allowing direct connection to the heating system.
Angled Valves: An angled radiator valve conceals the awkward edges particularly when the pipework approaches the radiator from the wall horizontally. These valves feature a 90-degree bend between the inlet and outlet connections, allowing for a clean and streamlined installation that helps hide any protruding pipes or corners.
Corner Valves: This design connects radiators that are positioned in corners or tight spaces where the pipework approaches the radiator from the side. With a 90-degree angled design for pipework connection, it enables a more streamlined installation, reducing pipe protrusion and enhancing the overall aesthetic.
Pipe Sleeves: The radiator pipe cover creates a more finished look by concealing unsightly edges or gaps. The circular base plates hide gaps in the floor and hide exposed pipes. Whether you have uneven flooring or irregularities in the wall, these covers provide a simple yet effective solution for creating a smooth and cohesive appearance. By enclosing the pipes, they help protect them from damage and corrosion, extending their lifespan and reducing the risk of leaks or other issues.
